We all have a remarkable untapped source of power that can help us achieve many things if we genuinely want to … and hypnotherapy is a gateway to that.
Hypnotherapy offers a powerful way to harness inner strengths. It is not spooky, unnatural, occult or dangerous, and you cannot be made to do anything against your will.
So if you really want to you can…
· STOP SMOKING · MANAGE YOUR WEIGHT · EXPERIENCE REAL RELAXATION · DEAL WITH FEARS & PHOBIAS · ALLEVIATE STRESS · BANISH ANXIETY · SLEEP BETTER · IMPROVE SELF ESTEEM · BECOME MORE CONFIDENT · And much, much more…
This is not a flashy website, there are no huge numbers of words to digest, facts to remember, statistics to ponder over, no amazing claims. There is information for those who have not experienced hypnosis, and a little about myself.
So here we go. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring and perfectly normal state. It is one that most of us enter several times a day… while so engrossed in a book, film or play that we are oblivious to those around us, while daydreaming, when driving and not remembering getting from a to b, and when in that delicious, dreamlike state between sleeping and waking.
A hypnotherapist will guide you into a profound state of mental and physical relaxation – a delight in itself – where positive change can easily take place. You are always in control, know precisely what is happening, and nothing can happen without your consent. You divulge nothing you don’t wish to, and can come out of a trance at any time. And through this hypnosis, the opportunity and ability to facilitate the change you desire is excellent.
Throughout a session the hypnotherapist, although experienced, skilled and probably an expert in his or her field, is the guide only. The profound mental and physical relaxation is the state you allow yourself to enter. It is safe and has no unpleasant side effects.
But there are a few common myths that need dispelling or repeating.
· There is nothing occult or magic about hypnosis. · You cannot get ‘stuck’ in a trance. You can exit it at any time. · You cannot be made to do or say anything against your will.
If you have any queries or concerns about hypnosis or hypnotherapy, I am happy to discuss either or both on the telephone, or to send you information.

So who am I? I am a mature woman who, after a successful career as a newspaper journalist and some resolved health problems, trained to be a hypnotherapist.
Obviously I am not a young woman, but one who, as they say, has been ‘around the block’. Although I still occasionally write, edit and proofread, my overriding passion is hypnotherapy and it is on this that I spend much of my time and energy.
As a former smoker of just a few years – and recipient of some of the harm it does – I am dedicated to helping other people give it up. Seldom is it really is ‘never too late’ to get an improvement in health. But hypnotherapy can deal with much, much more than that, and I am made constantly aware of the excellent – sometimes amazing – results it can achieve.
What else about me? I am a vegetarian, who has occasional lapses on the fish front, and my attempts at pacifism are sometimes shaky.
There are people I will not knowingly treat… racists, rapists and paedophiles; the first from distaste, the second and third because I do not have the emotional tools to deal with them.
My current charge per session is £40, a ‘session’ normally being well in excess of an hour. At a small extra travelling charge I will visit clients living within my region who genuinely find it impossible to come to me.
RestrictionsChildren under 16 must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian, who remains with the child throughout the session, and the child, however young, must give consent on his or her own behalf before treatment can start.
